Peggy McClure received a Master of Divinity degree from Columbia Theological Seminary

in Atlanta and a J.D. degree from Cumberland School of Law at Samford University in Birmingham. Additionally, she received a B.A. degree in Political Science and an M.A. degree in Secondary Education from the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa. 


Peggy's career has been three-fold. Most recently, she was the Pastor of the First Presbyterian Church of Trussville, AL, where she served for seven years. She also served as the Executive Director of Community Grief Support Service in Birmingham. In her legal career, she was counsel for U.S. Steel Corporation in Birmingham. As a teacher, she taught in Alabama (including Huntsville High School), Washington State, and the American High School in Heidelberg, Germany. 


Peggy's varied interests have included serving on the Alabama Symphony Board, the Vestavia Hills Board of Education, the WBHM Public Radio Board, the United Way Board, and the Junior Achievement Board. 


Peggy currently enjoys traveling, being involved with the Rotary Club of Huntsville, taking courses at Osher Lifelong Learning Institute, as well as being with her family and grandchildren in Huntsville.
